LOS ANGELES， Feb. 25， (Xinhua) -- The Los Angeles Time， one of the most popular newspaper in the United States， released a statement early Saturday， pledging to continue to cover story of Trump administration with non-jaundiced view despite it was excluded from White House press briefing the day before.


In a statement， LA Times editor Davan Maharaj said that it was ""unfortunate that the Los Angeles Times has been excluded from a White House press briefing today.""


""The public has a right to know， and that means being informed by a variety of news sources， not just those filtered by the White House press office in hopes of getting friendly coverage，"" Maharaj said， emphasizing that regardless of access， LA Times will continue to report on the U.S. President ""without fear or favor"" .


Friday's White House press briefing， normally an on-camera affair open to all reporters with press credentials， was turned into an exclusive event for certain news outlets hand-picked by the administration after Trump termed ""fake news"" as ""the enemy of the people.""


According to the list， some of Trump's favor conservative outlets kept their seats， while some very famous media disliked by the president， including the New York Times， CNN and the LA Times， ware kicked out.


Three major broadcast networks of the country and wire services， such as Bloomberg News， were still allowed in. The Associated Press and Time magazine were also invited but declined to participate in solidarity with other news organizations that were denied entry.
