It was previously reported the Eagles made an offer to Toth but the Army needed to waive his service requirement in order for him to play in the NFL. Toth’s military waiver request was successful. Here’s what we previously wrote about the prospect of the Eagles signing the 6-6, 305 pound Toth:Toth will only get to spend a limited number of practices and two preseason games on the Eagles’ 90-man roster before final cuts take place prior to 4:00 PM Eastern on Saturday, August 31. He’ll have a limited window to impress the coaching staff. It would seem, then, that Toth might be a long shot to stick around. But it’s not like Toth was just any free agent sitting on the couch. He went through the lengths of getting a service waiver so he could join the Eagles and pursue his NFL dream. It seems like he wouldn’t do that if the Eagles were only interested in him as a camp body for a couple weeks? We’ll see. For now, here’s some more background info on Toth.
